How can you make a good impression to your new teacher?

I dont want to be a teachers pet but i do want to be a good student.our teacher is our deputy head so i have to be good any way but is there any good things that will make them like yhoo more?

Be polite, do everything they ask you to, be friendly, answer questions in class and don't get caught misbehaving. :P
