How can you make a room soundproof?

I want to make my room soundproof since my parents are always saying that I am too loud. I want to make it so they can't hear me.

How do you do that?

You need to put something up on the walls, like egg cartons to absorb the sounds. But all adults think their children are loud, especially when the music is on.
