How can you make methanal alcohol out of fruit?

and you can make liquor out of fruits as well,

but who wants to put whiskey ,or apple jack in the car

Take the vapors and run them through a lot of thin long copper piping.

The liquid dripping out is methanol.

Fruit, like corn,has sugar in it which ferments to ethanol,  a two carbon molecule. It would have to broken down to a single carbon molecule.  

Natural gas is methane, a single carbon,  which can be converted to methanol, commonly called 'wood alcohol.   If you breathe in methanol or ingest it, it makes you go blind.
