How can you make pink lemon aid if there's no pink lemons?

Like, I know you can use food coloring, but there's no like, flavoring difference or anything. So what's the point?

  3. Yes they do use pink food coloring in pink lemonade. I do know in the Caribbean stores they sell strawberry syrup or fruit punch syrup and add it to regular lemonade for pink color and kick to the flavor.

  4. Pink lemonade typically has some other sort of tart red juice added to it, such as pomegranate, raspberry, or cranberry, etc. It can also be made by adding grenadine syrup.

    Grenadine is traditionally made from pomegranate, cherry, and sugar. Maraschino cherry syrup is basically just red dye and sugar syrup, which is not the same thing as grenadine.
