  1. you can't change a person. they have to change themselves. try just talking to her about it, and see how she feels. then maybe ask her about why she has become emo and maybe talk her into getting a therapist. and if nothing works just know, you tried. and a person ahs to decide for themselves to change

  2. Emo is not a crime or a disease, it's a music preference.

    Lighten up.

  3. just try and talk her out of it. make her feel loved and wanted. if that doesnt work, just let it go.

  4. she has to grow up and realize how lame it is.

that's what happened to me...i wasn't emo, but more scene ish. that was the dumbest thing i ever went through. lol.

  5. are you embarassed to be around her?

are you worried for her? like is this a REAL emo

Real emos in what i gather are suicidal and basically are wannabe goths.  So they dress in black listen to alternative music but are psychologically messed up.

So if she is only dressing up and you are embarassed to be with her i would say you are not being a true friend.

If she is REAL emo then yes good to see you care.  However the only thing i can say about stopping them is to explain to them how you feel and how being emo in the end does not get you any where (eg job wise no wants to hire a emo)

  6. you can't change anyone.  They have to want to change themselves.

  7. you should let her be herself. she'll resent you for trying to change her. if you really believe she isnt cut out to be emo, and you know her well, she probably isn't, and she'll resolve it herself. but you need to accept that it's who she feels she is.

  8. Well it depends, do you mean emo as in "cutting wrist" emo? Or just that she likes emo music and dresses in black?

If it's cutting wrist, I'd suggest get some professional help, but if it's music style, I'm sure she'll grow out of it.
