I have shoulder length hair with layers, how can I make it so it looks kinds messy/choppy? It's naturally curly.

Would I have to straighten it then used texturising stuff? Or is there a better way of doing it?

Thanks

I'll have a look see if I can find pics of what I mean :o)

  1. wash your hair in the evenings and then pin your layers up on the top of your head

in the morning brush the rest of your hair through and then just before you go out, let your layers down and shake your hair around a bit, to get your parting right

    hope it works!

  2. yeah i would straighten it, then maybe do a little back combing, or straighten it then use some mousse, and look in the shops for wave, or the bed-head look products.

    hope this helps :)

  3. try straightening each layer a different way but going away from you

  4. It starts with the cut.

    Layers are good.

You might wanna get a shag cut or your hair razored.

Although, that might not be great considered you have naturally curly hair.

But put some products in for texture.

Then add some hair glue or clay.

Try teasing your hair as well.

Also, put a little hair clay on you finger tips and apply to small sections of your hair, making them stick out from the rest.

Run you hands through your hair and shake it up a bit.

Those are a few tips. Hope that helps =]

  5. It depends on the layers you got, were they razored? You can do it with "regular" layers, but to get the best result, the razoring helps a lot.

Straighten your hair, and then get a styling wax and lightly use it on the ends of your hair. It makes your hair act like a wire (without looking like a wire, of course!) where you can make the ends flip up or stay together.

The best advice I can give you is take that first pic to your hairdresser and ask them to show you how to get that result, that's how I got that haircut myself! :)

  6. ok hear go's

wash your hair with shampoo & conditioner

Lay on your back on your bed & blow dry your hair  for volume

straighten your hair and use hairspray with a brush & slightly back come it

  7. Well I have naturally curly/wavy hair and how I got my hair messy and choppy was with hair cutting scissors, and a household razor. You just take random bits of hair and cut it at an angle. Also cut vertically into hair to make the cut look not so blunt. A word of advice, if you are going to cut your hair when wet, then you should cut the hair longer than desired or it will come out shorter than you planned. Basically just have fun with it, these kinds of hairstyles are meant to look messy, so if you do mess up you can say it was on purpose. Good Luck.

    God Bless!
