How can you make your hedgehog love you and want to play with you?

My hedgehog is always scared of me. The room is quiet, the room tempeture is warm for a hedgehog, and there a little bit of light in the room from the sun. I do everyday hold my hedgehog in my lap and its always in a ball. He has a good food diet and he exersise lot! Theres clean water ever day. But why does it hate me?

Hedgehogs whether you brought him as a pets or you found him outside are not suitable pets, they are nocturnal for one thing meaning he doesnt want to play during the day he wants to sleep plus there not social animals like dogs or cats. You need to make sure you only handle him during the night and leave him in peace during the day. but i dont think hedgehogs are pets and maybe you should do whats best for him by giving him to a wildlife centre!

No way can you do this the hedgehog needs to be himself without interference by some person trying to make a pet of it ~~

I just bought a hedgehog yesterday and he's afraid of me which makes me afraid of him haha.

Hi Jessica... some hedgehogs take awhile longer than others to learn to trust.  It does a significant amount of patience on your part to continue doing what you are doing before you see any changes.
