How can you make yourself as a volunteer?

Call your local literacy council.  they will train you to be a volunteer to teach others how to read.  It is alot of fun and they only ask a minimum of 1 hour a week, but you can always do more.

It can take time to get involved.

There are countless opportunities in local communities

or urban areas on weekends especially.

I would search around on the Internet or talk to people

involved in volunteering already in a church or soup kitchen or place like that for ideas.

You could go to your local chamber of commerce and ask about organizations that depend on volunteers such as Coats for Kids, Toys for Tots, Big Brothers/Sisters, animal shelters, etc.  You can also contact your regions' boy or girl scout home office about becoming a leader/assistant leader.  Perhaps your church(if you belong to one) needs assistance with it's youth group, maintenance, etc.  If you are a business owner, you could look into becoming a member of your community's business organizations or you can donate money to charitable causes. If you've kids, many schools appreciate lunch/recess monitors, event organizers, etc.  Just contact the school and tell them you'd like to help!  Or, you can contact your community's youth sports organizers about becoming a coach/assisstant coach.

Find an organization you are interested and passionate in and then find out how you can apply and be a volunteer. Or, you could go to  volunteermatch.org

Depends what you want to do but go to the company that you want to volunteer for. Community service? If you want to volunteer for your community then go to your local council. Also if you have an idea then you could get a goverment loan. Go onto your council website to find out more or better go in person.Good Luck!!!
