  1. Over-prepare:  Practice your audition pieces to the point where you know them inside & out, so there's no risk of messing up.

In normal speech, you don't really listen to yourself, correcting your words or nuances as you talk.  You just let the words flow naturally.  When you're nervous in an audition, you tend to do the opposite, which makes your performance jerky or halting.  If you know your pieces so well that you don't even think about them, then you'll be fully in character.  This will allow you to channel your nervousness into a bubbly-type of excitment that gives your performance energy and gets you the part.

  2. Well what i do to keep from getting nervous when I'm about to audition is I rehearse what i'm going to do over and over again,, it keeps my mind off the actual  audition and i get a little bit more practice! Then when i walk on the stage or room to audition i just either pretend the stage is filled with thousands of people or sometimes i just pretend they're no one there but i prefer pretending they'res thousands of people,, it really does calm my nerves!! And also when they call your name to go audition pretend they're is an enormouss amount of clapping! haha it gives you more confidence! && last but definitelyy not least have fun! Tell yourself that there's going to be lots of other auditions so just relax and just try your best, don'tt even look at the judges,, just pretend your in your own little world!!

    Hopee all this helped! :)

  3. PRACTICE ALOT, the better you are at what your reading for the audition, the more confident you will feel about your self reading it in front of an audience, before your audition read it to a group of friends and have them help you work out the quirks

  4. Here's what you do.  Remember that auditioning is a chance to act, Acting in playing and acting is fun. Otherwise we wouldn't do it, right? So you look forward to the audition as a chance to act and have fun. Try repeating this mantra until you start believing it. "Acting is playing and playing is fun, where ever I act I am going to have fun."  Go in there with energy and enthusiasm and have fun and you will get the part.
