My colleauge is suffering from her boss who never appreciates the good things she does and focuses on the negatives only.

we need tips for an indirect way to make her (the boss) realize that she needs to appreciate her..and give her a break for any small mistakes that might take place unintentionally.

moreover, how should a performance review be conducted with a boss like that?

  1. Please dont take this personal but I believe that "teaching your boss a lesson" is utterly unproffesional and rude. I feel bad for telling you this, but in the bussiness world you do not mix in your emotions....you leave them at home....that is where people trully appreciate you and love and respect what you do....at work, they pay you...that is how you receive appreciaion.

Sorry again, I dont mean to sound harsh....but if you want to get ahead in life you are going to have to accept this. If not, then you will always be stuck behind an ungreatful and unapprecative jerk of a boss.

And sadly no matter how high you make it, you ALWAYS have the ungrateful, unapreciative jerk of boss....no matter who you are.

Oh and the performance review should be given on work performance. Keep it strictly professional....and by that you will prove to her, your friend an you self that you are classy, and that you can be extremely professional.

Good luck though to you and your friend

  2. Neither you or I actually know what their interpersonal relationship ..what their combined energies are dictating to say and act on..She has her path as do we all in this life..When you take a person's opportunity to learn a life lesson away from them ..kinda cheats them in the end huh..
