  1. i got a new gfx card from a 7300 Le to an 8800 gs for only 80 bucks (newegg.com 8800 gs evga) and it improved vastly.  Also get some console commands hit the ` button next to the 1 key, and type commands you can find them online like make the fps 250, and make it so it doesnt show bullet marks on walls and stuff, i did this before i upgraded gfx card and it make it 2 times faster.  i have a really weak internet connection and only 1 gb ram and a dual core cpu with above gfx card and i run it at max on multiplayer (20 inch lcd moniter)
