Hi.

Is there another way to write someones name to infer that they have passed away (died / deceased / dead).

For example, the only one I can think of is,

The Late Barry White.

Any thoughts??

Thanks

  1. "The Late" or "Barry White, deceased, of 12 Maple Crescent was honoured"

  2. eg. Barry White (1931-2007)

  3. the dead person their is only one way dead is dead you can not make it sound nice don't forget its the living that's hard

  4. I think saying "The late..............." is about the best way you can. It is polite and respectful and an acceptable way of stating in society that someone has died. If it is for a notice of death or something similiar then it could be worded along the lines of "It is with deep regret it is tannounced  that -------------- passed away on------------ " or  "Suddenly on --------John Smith at -------------" or "After a long illness, bravely born John Smith passed away at -------------"  or "Peacefully at home on --------John Smith ---------" At ------ Hospital on-------------" Just a few suggestions.

  5. You might say that Barry White has gone to his heavenly reward.

  6. Well its better than

    The Dead Barry White?
