How can you play ps1 games on psp?

Question

I seen videos on youtube that shows you how to put ps1 games on the psp but it says you need cfw and a pandora battery/memory stick. I have no idea what is cfw and a pandora battery/memory stick because I am new to this kind of stuff so can you help me by explaining or giving me a link to a very thorough video that shows how to do these things?

P.S. they also said somthing about a kernal or something like that so could you help me that also?
