Question:

How can you possibly believe in Global Warming?

When every piece of "evidence" Al Gore has produced has been rejected and justified by QUALIFIED scientists who have actual credentials...

Do some research and you'll realize why liberals and the watermelon party are trying to make something out of nothing into an issue.

  1. If I was making a profit from it I guess I could believe. Need some neon light bulbs?

  2. THANK YOU!

and plus even if it was real.. honestly.. it's a big planet.. and I'm pretty confident that we wouldn't be able to stop it. so may as well stop fretting about it and live.

  3. Because essentially all of the scientists in the world say it's real, and mostly caused by us.  For example:

The National Academy of Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Institute of Physics, the American Chemical Society, the American Geophysical Union, the American Meteorological Association, etc.

This is NOT a liberal thing.  It's proven science.  You might want to listen to these conservatives:

"Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich challenged fellow conservatives to stop resisting scientific evidence of global warming"

"National Review (the most prestigious conservative magazine) published a cover story calling on conservatives to shake off denial and get into the climate policy debate"

"Pat Robertson (very conservative Christian leader) 'It is getting hotter and the ice caps are melting and there is a build up of carbon dioxide in the air.  We really need to do something on fossil fuels.”

"I believe there is now more than enough evidence of climate change to warrant an immediate and comprehensive - but considered - response. Anyone who disagrees is, in my view, still in denial."

Ford Motor Company CEO William Clay Ford, Jr.

"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."

James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.

The first answer above about the suposed inaccuracies in Gore's film doesn't mention the judge found the following things to be proven fact:

Global warming is real, mostly caused by us, a serious problem, and capable of being solved by us.

And the nine things listed were listed as "unproven" not false.

  4. It's Climate  Change. It's a money maker for companies like General Electric which has invested heavily in Green energy. It will certainly hurt the poor who can't afford $7.00 light bulbs. I live in a small town and the council wants to pass a Global Warming surcharge on our utility bills. The rich won't mind paying it, but the poor will have to pay an extra $20 per month for nothing.

  5. Even if we aren't sure if global warming exists, it wouldn't hurt to be prepared. Yes it will cost, but if we don't can you imagine what we would loose if it did turn out to be true. As the dominant species on our planet we should be taking care of it. We should be treating it like our child, providing a safety net if something bad happens.

If the theories are true, what will we have to turn to when we destroy the earth? Would you really expect that we would be packed up on some imaginary giant spaceship and find ourselves a new planet. Of course not!

Its just pure stupidity to just pretend it will all go away if we don't want it to be there. We will be pathetic as a species when we cause our own extinction.

Im tired of people destroying the possibilities of my future! Im still very young, and Im tired of people thinking "just because it wont happen to be it dosnt matter". Are you really willing to risk your childs future!

  6. “Global warming”, and teaching of evolution is all a part of a communist /***** conspiracy.

  7. None of his evidence has ever been rejected by qualified scientists.  I don't know where you're doing your "research", but it certainly isn't in any scientific literature.

  8. "Watermelon party"???

    That's a bit racist, eh?

there are many scientists who insist that global warming is taking place, too.

    An issue that needs investigation.

But a racist like yourself is just anti-Democrat, so stop pretending you care about the issues.

Say hello to RUSH for us, zombie!!

  9. Exactly - This movie was so flawed that a judge required disclaimers to be announced before every showing.

If Gore had morals, he would end the distribution of this fiction.

  10. What truths did he tell in that movie?  Everything he said in that movie was wrong and proven wrong...  He even ignored his own scientists and turned 20 inches into 20 feet.  So, only the scientists that believe in global warming are qualified.... OMG, now we got experts on scientist's credentials...  You guys take the cake.  Odd how all the skeptical scientists are ex IPCC members.

By the way, here are your inaccuracies....

The film claims that melting snows on Mount Kilimanjaro evidence global warming. The Government's expert was forced to concede that this is not correct.

The film suggests that evidence from ice cores proves that rising CO2 causes temperature increases over 650,000 years. The Court found that the film was misleading: over that period the rises in CO2 lagged behind the temperature rises by 800-2000 years.

The film uses emotive images of Hurricane Katrina and suggests that this has been caused by global warming. The Government's expert had to accept that it was "not possible" to attribute one-off events to global warming.

The film shows the drying up of Lake Chad and claims that this was caused by global warming. The Government's expert had to accept that this was not the case.

The film claims that a study showed that polar bears had drowned due to disappearing arctic ice. It turned out that Mr Gore had misread the study: in fact four polar bears drowned and this was because of a particularly violent storm.

The film threatens that global warming could stop the Gulf Stream throwing Europe into an ice age: the Claimant's evidence was that this was a scientific impossibility.

The film blames global warming for species losses including coral reef bleaching. The Government could not find any evidence to support this claim.

The film suggests that the Greenland ice covering could melt causing sea levels to rise dangerously. The evidence is that Greenland will not melt for millennia.

The film suggests that the Antarctic ice covering is melting, the evidence was that it is in fact increasing.

The film suggests that sea levels could rise by 7m causing the displacement of millions of people. In fact the evidence is that sea levels are expected to rise by about 40cm over the next hundred years and that there is no such threat of massive migration.

The film claims that rising sea levels has caused the evacuation of certain Pacific islands to New Zealand. The Government are unable to substantiate this and the Court observed that this appears to be a false claim.

    Minor inaccuracies?????  LOL

  11. The earth is round not flat, a good bleeding to let the demons out, a rock will hit the earth, were going to blow ourselves up, what's next ?  Melting ice ?

  12. Let me guess, all your "research" came from Rush Limbaugh or some right wing blog. If you investigate non biased sources from actual scientists who study the issue you will see that your right wing blogs are factually incorrect about most of what they say on the issue. For instance, Al Gore's film is considered by most climate scientists to be a good movie which gets the basic facts right. There are a few errors or contraversial statements but the overall message is correct.

This is not a liberal vs conservative issue, no matter how much Limbaugh wishes it were. It's a science issue. And there is an overwhelming science concensus. Open your eyes and wake up!

  13. I believe the Earth undergoes natural climate changes as it cycles between Ice Ages.  Man just tags along for the ride.

Frito Laye:  Watermelon Party:  Green on the outside, red on the inside...preaching environmentalism as a socialists agenda.

antarcticice:  Many documentaries have been made about global warming, yet Gore's film is the one being used in schools to introduce the subject....apparently he IS the resident expert.

  14. I don't know I looked and I saw it was just a liberal scam.

  15. Why is it that deniers drone on about Al Gore being the god of the global warming movement when it is only they who seem to bring his name up. It is not that hard to find out that most of the 'evidence' from Gores was provided by QUALIFIED scientists and has not been rejected this is simply a lie.

The only QUALIFIED scientists rejecting the science of global warming are from the Heartland Institute or similar groups and probably got their scientific qualifications from a cornflakes packet.

  16. no. gores move had 9 inaccuracy's and was still "broadly accurate".

as for being disproven. can you provide any sources from peer reviewed journals?

    i can

    http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/fu...

  17. You may want to go to the Peer Reviewed Scientific Journals to get your answers. The scientists (you know, those PhD types, not the media) are virtually unanimous in saying that global warming is real and man has played a big part in it.

It is depressing, but true. Even John McCain acknoledges it: "I believe climate change is real, I think it's devastating, I think we have to act." (its on his website)

If you want realiable sources, try going to the journal "Science", or the International Panel on Climate Change.

If you still don't believe global warming is real, and man has played a BIG part in it, I have a bridge to sell you.

  18. You are simply incorrect.

"The nation's top climate scientists are giving An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore's documentary on global warming, five stars for accuracy."

    http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/200...

A British judge reviewing the film ruled it was "broadly accurate" and "substantially founded upon scientific research and fact."

You should follow your own advice and do some research.  I've summarized the scientific evidence in the link below.  That would be a good start.

  19. take a look around

  20. Al Gore?  Liberals?  Watermelon Party?  You forgot to mention Israel.
