How can you prevent cracks in the dash and seats of a car?

I got a car in December, used, but good condition. I want to keep it that way. Any suggestions on good maintenance?

Get a dash cover.  Theres a big controversy to not to use any product with any type of petroleum in it....  I have a 1972 Plymouth, original dash, no cracks and never used Armor All.  I just placed towels over dash when in the sun.  Used a damp cloth to clean it.

ummm....my guess would be use the wipes or sprays that "clean and protect" the interior.

not sure about the seats since you should put the stuff on seats
