How can you program a camcorder to record at specific times?

Hi,

I want to capture details about plant pollination by insects at random sampling intervals. But I have to do this at multiple sites and will therefore need to program any camcorder to record at specific interval, say 10 mins every 1 hour. Is there any cheap camcorder which does this? Also how do I do this?

It would be great to get a cheap camcorder since I have to pay for buying multiple camcorders for this research.

your reqmnt. may be best served by a security system, where multiple cameras can be monitored using a single pc  with a big LCD screen
