  1. If it fits put it in there and close the window on it. You might need to support the back side and you will need to figure a way to close the gaps in the side with some Masonite material that's easy to cut and maybe duct tape? If it's not made for a window you might need to put a board under the unit on the sill so it fits.

  2. Install it like it is a window unit

  3. Well, I just did one today.

    1. I cut a piece of wood for the length and depth of the A.C. 2.Then I got a pair of  L-shape support brackets and mounted on the piece of wood. Get them large size. There job is to support the back weight of the A.C.

    3. Open the window, place your wood piece against the window sill, make sure the L-shape bracket is adjusted to hit the house wall, below the window sill.  Adjust and s***w down the wood piece to the sill. Now the A.C can be supported.

    4. When placing the A.C on the wood piece, use care here. Adjust your A.C, so you can bring the window down behind the flang of the A.C.

    5. Get a s***w, push down on the window and s***w down at the topside of the window into both sides. This will secure the window to the A.C flang. Now you have a secure wall A.C in a window.

    6. Find some cardboard and cut to size for filling in the sides. I would use aluminium foil for bothside of the cardboards for weather.

    7. To secure the cardboards, I would use duct-tape nicely around the window and A.C unit to blockout the outside eleminates.

    8.  Plug in your A.C - Success.
