By items, I mean, build houses outside of the grid, to make it look like a neighborhood.

I've seen it done on Sims 2 Series on youtube, and I've typed in two cheat codes that don't seem to work.

boolprop snapobjectstogrid false

boolprop snapobjectstogrid off

I have the University expansion pack. Is there another code for that one?

  1. ctrl+shift+c moveobjects on then move the objects off the grid. happy simming!

  2. boolprop snapobjectstogrid false only works for objects, as the name suggests. The other cheat does not exist.

The only way I know of to get houses looking like they're joined/close together is to use the lot adjuster from modthesims2. For tips and discussion and lots of links see here: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.ph...

  3. build houses in the neghbour hood and it looks likea neghbour hood! or , do you mean when you'e playing a lot, in the settings section there is a setting about letting you make other lots visiable when in play mode so you can see houses and bulding around the lot you are playing, is this what you mean? when on the lot go to settings and somewhere there is a setting, its by the hsadows stting and the miror refelction setting.
