I'm an incoming sophomore and I would like to start receiving brochures regarding college. Preferably schools like Yale, Princeton, Harvard, etc.

  1. yes.

  2. go to their websites and they should have a section where it says prospective student. under that section you should be able to get the information you need. it should have a place where you can request information about the school and they can send them to you.  or you can always call their registration office and request some information about their schools.

Here is the website for yale: I just google yale and clicked prospective student & click apply under yale college & on the right hand side of the screen under quick links click on request information.

    http://www.yale.edu/admit/freshmen/appli...

hope this helps. the other websites should have the same information under prospective students.

  3. Go onto the perspective college's web site and request one. They'll send it to you. I think they are under the "perspective students" or admissions or something like that. If you can't find it on-line, maybe try finding the schools phone number, call them and request the brochure. Good luck! =D

  4. If you go to the website of the school(s) you are interested in, there is typically a form that you can fill out online to request additional information.

If you cannot find that, call their general admissions phone number.  You will be able to either speak to the assistant or an admissions counselor.  They can get you added to their system and indicate that you are interested in receiving more information.

Just so you are aware, once you are on their list you are on it until you request to be removed.  So, you will likely receive numerous mailings from these schools - especially once you are a junior.

Also, I would not recommend signing up for information through sites that are not directly associated with the University you are interested in.  These sites typically will get a students name on lists that are not what the student asked for.

Good luck in your college search!
