My son took his magnetic wood toy set outside and put them in the sand box. Now the magnets are covered in sand, and they won't hold together in a chain anymore. I have pinched as much of the sand off that I can, but is there anything else I can do to get the sand off and restore the magnetic power? Thanks for your help.

  1. Put a piece of tape on the sand.  It should stick to the tape, and come off the magnet.

If that doesn't work, try wax, or even rubber cement.  Let the cement dry and peel it off.

  2. Try attracting the magnet to anoher magnet an then remove the sand with knife or something magnetic. But not to lie I don't think it can really remove.
