I recently left my job of 4 1/2 years because I found out the owner had been forging my signature on the companies tax returns for the last couple of years, also they have been paying cash like crazy for the last year now, because they've been short on cash (due to the owner overspending) long story short, I looked for another job and put in my two weeks and I'm almost certain that the co. will be audited by the IRS at any time because of their sneeky business practices I kind of want to give the IRS a heads up so they know I had nothing to do with all this crooked stuff.

  1. Easy: get your evidence and call them. They'll want to meet with you. If you can't get copies of checks and/or books, put into memory as much as you can. Take photos with your phone! They'll fight back hard, so be prepared- they will try to run down your character, say you were in on it, etc.

They ask for the whole story, don't worry. Good luck. It's not funny to mess with the IRS- they are serious!

  2. They forged your signature on tax returns.  The good thing is their are people that can identify handwriting samples and determine whether it is your signature or a forgery.  Go to an accountant and ask how you can reach someone at the IRS.   1-800-829-1040 .  You should make certain to report what you know since your name was forged and f they get audited you will be involved.  Good luck.

  3. Call the IRS and report it. But, you'll need proof.

  4. Every person thinks that every other person is doing tax evasion. So unless you have good proof, and you under stand about taxes, there is no use. What you think is tax evasion may not really be that.

If you want to report, you need to complete a Form (check at www.irs.gov) and send to the IRS.

  5. Write to the IRS is the best way.  Mail your letter to the same address you file your return.  If you don't have the address you can fine it on the IRS web site at www.irs.gov.

Give as much information as you can in your letter, Name of the Business, Name of the Owner, the Name of any of the people being paid case that you know, any thing that will aid the IRS in the review of the business.

Make sure you are not just an unhappy employee, reporting someone and the IRS finds it is unfounded, the IRS could come back to you.  Kind of like filing a false police report.

  6. go to irs.gov and go to report abuse, they will help you,if you go to them they will not prosafute you, just be honest with them.good luck

  7. 1.  Form 3949A (see irs.gov).

    2.  Hire a lawyer--if your name is on the 940/941 and the trust fund payments haven't been made, you could be in very expensive trouble.
