  1. If you can spare the time - do some comparison shopping.  Often you can find the same item either on sale or at a lower price/different store.  For on line - find a site that offers free shipping and/or no sales tax.

Unfortunately, as we buy more and more from China, our own manufacturing companies either go out of business or move their plants to other third world countries - bankrupting our own country.  That isn't any one person's fault but we're all going to end up paying a price in lack of jobs etc.

  2. Well, I know a way to get money back when you shop at Ebay and many other popular online stores.   If you are interested, then send me an email.

  3. never go to the register!

  4. know what your going to get before you get there and only get that.

  5. hit the clearance and sale racks first

  6. One way is to use online bargain hunting websites such as http://www.dealtaker.com/.  This site has over 6000 coupons to most major retailers and daily deals are constantly postedd and updated.  It's saved me alot of money, especially gas money!

  7. A little bit of hypnotism and mind control...

Don't forget to stop at the soda machine...

  8. I look for sales, use coupons, don't always buy name brands, and shop discount stores when possible.

  9. Unless you are at the grocery store doing your weekly/bi-weekly/monthly shopping... do NOT get a cart. If you have a shopping cart you will most likely feel the need to fill it up with unnecessary items. I worked in a couple of retail stores and that was one of their main objectives.. making sure customers had a shopping cart.

  10. The simple answer is dont go shopping....

But that is almost impossible in todays economy.

So, first you have to get your priorities straight...

    Pay yourself first....

Put 10 or 20 percent of everything you make into savings or stocks... for the rest of your life, before you spend any money on anything else.

Dont shop for groceries on an empty stomach.  You will buy more, there have been studies done on this.

Next, dont fall victim to unrestrained "Consumerism". We live in an age where most of the means of mass communication are funded by commercials that make you want to buy something that you might not otherwise need.  The next time you decide you need designer Jeans or 150 dollar tennis shoes, or anything else, "Do I really want this, or do I just want this because a commercial conned me into it or because I am just trying to "keep up with the jones".

Maybe it will help to look at it like this, "All commercials and commercial celebrity endorsements have only one goal : That is to get your money into someone elses pocket"

Next, Read the book, "The millionaire next door"  In that book you will find that most self made millionaires got there fortunes by NOT giving into temptation and living extravagently.

Well, that is all for now,

    good luck
