How can you say joe louis is the greatest?

joe louis was a great fighter but i am tired of people calling him the greatest.he would only fight freaking bums.put your hearts away and look at the stats.he once defended his title against a guy named tony galento,tony was 5'9" over weight a hack loser,but yet he put louis on the mat in there fight.he almost lost his title to billy conn A FREAKING MIDDLEWEIGHT.the only thing that saved louis was the fact that it was a 15 round fight.if it was 12 louis would have gotten his @$$ kicked.so what he beat jersey joe walcott.walcott got robed in there fight.you can't call a man that faced that many bums the greatest.

Everyone knows the greatest of all time is ALI.he has ko wins over FOREMAN,FRAZIER,SHAVERS,COOPER,QUARRY,LI... TWICE,PATTERSON TWICE,AND RON LYLE.AND HE WAS THE FIRST AND FOR A LONG TIME THE ONLY 3 TIME HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP.

as i stated many times before, each champion has to be measured by the era each fighter came up in, there is no way you can compare a james j. corbett vs. george foreman...are you following me so far ?

joe louis fought some good fighters also look up joe louis pro record some of those bum of the month club fighters were tough as far as tony galento i agree he looked like a bum was fat short etc but he could brawl and he had a hard left hook he got lucky knocking louis down but louis underestimated galento he thought he would easily destroy him louis more embarrassed than hurt got up and cut galento to pieces then kod him but he said after the fight galento was a tough fight louis was fooled by galentos appearance much like you are my friend galento was a pretty tough fighter and joe louis no question is the top 3 best heavyweight of all time

I agree. I think your a little harsh on louis, especially considering that he tko'd galento in the 4th. but i think it is wrong to compare him to ali considering the wins that ali had over quality opponents. It is for this same reason that i cant even listen to people who say that marciano is the greatets of all time.
