  1. try a new magazine

  2. As much as I am usually the first one to call all semi-autos Jam-o-matics, this primarily refers to the small chance of a dusty bedside piece failing when needed. Further, Glock has a good reliability reputation. If a simple thorough cleaning doesn't fix things, then something is seriously wrong, and could even be dangerous. Clean the dickins out of it, lube it properly, and if things still s***w up, have a Glock-experienced Gunsmith look at it. And yes, it could all be traceable to ammo choice. Regards, Larry.

  3. whateveer you do, dont look in the barrel. =]

  4. Lots of good suggestions on here but another one if the round won't chamber because it stops before it gets completely in the chamber is having the feed ramp polished to remove burs and make sure the bullets can glide over it with less friction.

One of the more common problems with glocks will be failure to extract and they usually need a new extractor and spring.

  5. Try different ammo or a different mag. If that doesn't work throw the piece of c**p glock away and go get something decent.

  6. ok... one of three things most likely

something wrong with the mag... take it apart and clean it, then make sure not to overfill it.. leave a few rounds out so theres not so much tension

somethings wrong with the gun..  maybe its dirty and needs a good cleaning...

a bad ammo to gun mix.. sometimes lower preassure ammo in semi auto guns just doesnt work to well... for instance.. subsonic rounds coming out of a .22 semi auto may jam once in awhile... and recoil reduced shotgun shells coming out of a semi auto shotgun might give a malf once in a while

  7. A dirty gun, bad ammo or limp wristing your gun can cause jamming

  8. Get professional training in firearms maintenance, for cripes sakes!  A properly-handled weapon won't jam - and if yours does, it's because you don't know what the (f)uc(k) you're doing with it!

  9. Take it to a gunsmith

  10. Ninety-nine percent of the time jamming is due to shooter error.  Holding the gun limp-wristed is high on the offender list.  Also, poorly maintaining your gun is way up there.  Neglecting to disassemble and clean your magazines is another reason guns jam.  The only gun I ever owned that jammed no matter what was a first generation S&W Sigma 9mm.  This one wasn't fixed even after getting sent back, twice!

Now if you use subsonic ammo in some semi-autos they will jam because the subsonic ammo lacks the 'umph' to cycle the action.  I've heard of one case where a 9mm carbine went into full-auto mode because the shooter was using subsonic ammo.  The slide wasn't being thrown back far enough to allow the firing pin to recess and so it 'chain-fired.'

If your Glock is jamming then you are doing something wrong.  Is it properly cleaned and lubed?  Are your magazines clean (and not lubed)?  Are you holding it limp-wristed (let someone else shoot it)?  If your Glock is still jamming there's something really weird going on.  Glocks just don't jam.

  11. First thing to try when you have chronic jamming is to thoroughly clean the gun and the magazine.

If it continues, pay close attention to the way you grip your pistol.  If your wrist is not locked during recoil, even the best and most reliable pistols will jam.  Ask another experienced shooter to rip off a few magazines to see if it jams with them.

If you have more than one magazine, mark each to be identifiable and see if all the magazines jam or if it is just one or two.  Or purchase a new magazine and see if it jams as well.

A large majority of jamming can be traced to issues of cleanliness, improper grip, or faulty magazines.

    Good Luck

  12. Hey, what kind of caliber is it?  Is it a glock?

  13. cleaning it possibly

  14. try putting one less bullet in the mag than it is capable of holding. This should put a little less tension when firing and hopefully stop it from jamming altogether. If that doesn't work I would look at the mag not the gun because glocks are built very well and I am guessing that the fault is in the mag. if you don't have any luck with this try cleaning it before buying another mag.
