  1. You try fighting in that style of warfare.

    All's I can say.

  2. i suppourt the troops who signed up for service to protect america and i respect them for that and wish they coime home alive. i have even more respect for the people who do thier job as a military serviceman or woman even if they dont agree with why.

  3. This is the kind of attitude that got soldiers spit on after Vietnam, only it was even stupider then because the soldiers didn't even have a choice whether to join or not.  Today's soldiers joined because they bought the story that invading Iraq was necessary to defend America.  Whether or not you accept the validity of this idea, they didn't join to express their own opinion.  Can you imagine what an army would be like if made up of soldiers who questioned every order and refused to follow any order they didn't agree with?  I can support the soldiers because they did what they thought was right at the same time as I disapprove of the war because it was at base wrong.  Any soldiers who deliberately kill innocents are criminals and will be dealt with legally.

  4. FYI The soldiers have no choice. They don't vote on it. They follow orders or get convicted of treason, desertion,or refusing to obey a direct order. The can be imprisoned or executed for this.

  5. War is h**l.  Unfortunately some groups are monsters eg Islamofascists, n**i's, Commies, serial murderers, rabid dogs, etc.  They can not be reasoned with.   Consequently, peace loving people must remain armed and ready to fight at a moments notice to keep the overall peace.  Re the present conflict, the last I heard, there are no SEPARATE mosques just for terrorists.

  6. You obviously have no idea what the military is about.

It's about supporting a cause greater than yourself and being committed to give your life for it.

When you take the Oath, you agree to follow Orders to the letter.  It is not your job to question and, in most cases, you are not given enough information to make an accurate decision anyway.  Therefore, it is the most noblest thing to do something that you might otherwise believe wrong, but to do it anyway because you were ordered to do so.

If those decisions were indeed wrong, then the soldier's conscience wrestles with it for the rest of his life.  Some become bitter, but those of us who have been there understand that this is part of the sacrifice that you make.  It is what makes a true hero- to give oneself, even psychologically, to the ideal of freedom and protecting our way of life.

It's unfortunate that you don't understand such things, for you will never be considered worthy or even understand true "heroism."

  7. I'm not quite sure what you are asking. But if you mean can you NOT support soldiers who kill innocent civilians in time or war and still support the war, the answer is... "It depends."

If the soldiers purposefully targeted and killed innocent civilians, of course, you don't support that action. That's murder, plain and simple. But if you mean they kill innocent civilians while carrying out an action against an enemy combatant, then yes, you do support them.

The sad truth of war is that innocents do get killed. But a civilized military does everything it can do to avoid that fact... but it still happens. It's unavoidable.

  8. William Sherman is credited for saying, "War is h**l". There has never been a major conflict where innocent people have not died. There are still countries today that take great pleasure in torturing and killing innocent civilians without remorse by them or their countrymen. If the US kills one civilian by accident, there's h**l to pay! Why is that?

  9. You obviously have a few more neural connections than those who gave the two answers above mine, and more than most Americans btw.  It ain't easy living in a world where probably 90% of the people around you are less intelligent and don't even understand this question much less have a decent answer to it.
