How can you tell a German and Austrian person apart?

Let's take accents out of the equation. Just by looking at them, how can you tell them apart?

German's and Austrian's are hard to tell apart! It is the same as telling the difference between an American and a Canadian.

One thing you may notice is that Austrian's will tend to dress more often in "Trachten" (the traditional clothing). However this will be more prominent as social gatherings such as weddings or concerts than in every day life.

Not really. Ethnically, they're really the same people. So just from a physical standpoint, you can't really tell who is German and who is Austrian. Just don't call person the other though!
