  1. If the bird lays an egg, it's a girl.  Otherwise, ravenfire is right.  DNA testing.  Birds don't mature till age 3 or 4 so DNA testing is fastest.

    *beware* of DNA testing that is very cheap...it's probably a scam!  I would find an avian vet and let them do it if that's what interests you.


  2. Visually, you can't.  Most psitticines show little to no sexual dimorphism.  Have your bird(s) DNA sexed by your avian vet.  Also, if you look in the back of Bird magazines like "BirdTalk" you can find ads for companies that do DNA sexing direct to the customer.
