I have never driven in the dark before with my parents or anything and then they have me drive to and from work. It's night time when I leave work and I cannot tell how far away cars are when I turn out of work or turn left out of an intersection, all i can see are big criss-crosses of light. It scared the c**p out of me last night when i turned out it looked like the cars were WAY down the road as far as I could tell, but when I turned out, one was right on my butt. And when I turn left at intersections, I cannot tell if I am cutting people off or what. Is there any easy way to tell how far away cars are or do you just have to learn from experience? It scares the c**p out of me. Please help me, I don't want to get in an accident.

  1. Plain and simple........go see an eye doctor for your safety and the safety of others.....

  2. I had trouble seeing at night when I first got my license. I finally went to the eye doctor and got my eyes checked and got my prescription changed on my contacts. It got a lot easier after that. You may want to get your eyes checked and have another licensed driver ride with you a couple times to see if things get easier for you.

  3. dont drive at nite till you get an eye exam  > i had to stop several nite lessons . The students were ok in daylite

  4. Try cleaning your glasses/windows often grease can cause the car lights to 'star'. Also check your vision you may need a checkup. Otherwise try and look for clues like how fast they appear to be moving etc. ask a friend for help

  5. you  need to have your eyes checked. my wife has eye trouble and she sees the cris crosses plus a halo around the headlight.
