Question:

How can you tell how old a Quaker is?

I adopted a Quaker that was found injured as a stray and I'm trying to figure out how old he might be. (For the record, I don't know that it is a male, I just say 'he' as it's easier.)

Also, any tips to get him to understand I don't want to kill him would be nice. I'm willing to be patient, I just also want to see some kind of change. :P

  1. Take it to the vet and they can tell you how old it is, give it time my quaker was five months when I got him and he is now a year old and doesn't like to be held at all. He will snuggle with me but only on his terms.

  2. yours looks just like mine . Mine is 5 yrs old and he is the sweetest bird ever . I have never been bitten by him not once . If you would like to send me your regular email I can send a pic . good luck .
