How can you tell if a DVD is a bootleg?

Hello, I have bought a lot of 100 NEW dvd's in the mail today I bought from a seller on eBay. When I received them they were titles you would of never heard of. I studied them carefully and most of them showed signs of being re shrink wrapped and none had a security seal on them. I then immediately opened some of them and none contained inserts, the CD's looked fine but however all the DVD covers look fake, and blurry and say "region free" on the back. Also, the back of the cover does not contain the ratings. My main questions are, could these movies be bootleg movies? Also, are their any other ways to tell? Thank you for your time and god bless!

Did you check to see how many negative comments this seller has received ?

You bought titles you never heard of ? Why ?

These could be "grey market" discs. Shipped from over-seas at bottom costs and questionable quality.

Region free only means they will play on any player world wide.

You get what you pay for.

well bootlegs are pretty obvious. the most obvious was is when you get them before they come out on DVD officially. however, when your watching it it's actually pretty funny becaue you can like see it in movie theater, and you can hear the person recording it like eating popcorn and stuff. also occasionally the camera will go down and you'll like hear people whispering "oh c**p! do you think the can see us?" and things like that. you should be able to tell.

It might be bootleg.  Specifically, I don't know about that DVD of if there is a way of finding out.  Does it play okay?

Sometimes, there is a reason something is sold on EBay. Questionable dealers, no warranties, etc.

Don't worry, you purchased it in good faith and the police are not going to arrest you.  Make sure when you purchase on EBay, it's a respected seller and he has a reputation of money back guarantee.

If the cases were saller than usual,cd not have fine print like the real ones with pics,a disc menu,dvd quality picture,legit tital and print on box,
