I want to make a donation to one who deals with research for Kidney disease. I see "The American Kidney Foundation" and "The National Kidney Foundation" is one better than the other? Are they both reputable?

  1. You can check with the better business bureau (www.bbb.org)

    the Better Business Bureau (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Better_Busi...

Its report for national kidney foundation:

    http://charityreports.bbb.org/public/Rep...

  2. Try www.give.org, it's run by the better business bureau and can give you information on the charities statistics.

  3. Find out which one puts more to the actual cause. 80% is the bottom limit. You don't want your donation going to excessive "administration" fees.

  4. as this is the uk site, i assume you are in the uk so wouldn't the national one be more appropriate?

Always check they are a registered charity and do your research, especially if it is a sizeable donation.
