  1. if a plant is a boy or a girl it has something inside the leaves or petals that can determine whether it is a guy or a girl girl's petals are duller boys' petals have a more stronger color

i am not too sure about the answer but it works

  2. lift up its leaf and look under it

    just kidding

a female plant will flower or produce berries

  3. That depends about the species. Basically you have to look at the flowers. If the plant has flowers that only have a pistil and ovary its female, and if the plant has flowers that have only stamens its male. If the plant has both types of flowers this species has perfect flower, or is bisexual.

  4. female plants have flowers or berries

  5. a plant is not male of female, except in rare cases.A plant produces flowers which has stamen which are the male part, and the flower has a pistil ( upper region) & ovary at its base- which has a female part.

  6. Most..well alot of  plants are both...that is they either have both male and female flowers or have flowers that have both male and female parts. Some instances like the Gingko Tree, the plants are either male or female.  Female gingko trees have flowers and bear fruit...males do not (bear fruit).

Basically you have to look at the flowers.....if the plant has flowers that only have a pistil and ovary its female, if the plant has flowers that have only stamens its male. If the plant has both types of flowers or has flowers that have both a pistil and stamens in the same flower its both male and female.

I provided a site that diagrams a flower...the Stamen is the male part of the flower (consists of the filament and anthers) and the pistil is the female part (consists of the ovary, stigma and style).

There are terms for these conditons:

Monoecious is a plant that has both male and female parts on the same  plant.

Dioecious is a plant that is either male or female but not both (Gingko would be an example of this type).
