When exploring an abandoned house, bees began trickling out of the rooms and the buzzing got louder and louder. These bees looked a little bit darker and there were a lot judging from the sound coming from the rooms. My mom said that they were Africanized bees but i wonder if you can really tell by just seeing a few and hearing them.

  1. i don't think there is any way to tell them from regular bees just by looking at them..  if they didn't come after you though, i don't think they were africanized bees.  they are very defensive, especially once they start raising young.  a regular bee will lose interest after following you a short distance...africanized bees will chase you for miles, and even wait for you to come up out of water (just in case you were thinking of hiding in the ocean).

  2. They rap, break dance, and wear their hair in 'fros.

If you weren't stung when they knew you were there, the bees were not Africanized.
