Well today me and my friends went to this Corner Store, and I bought some Charleston Chews. The store is kinda old, and its really made for lottery tickets and ciggarettes. There is even Sonic The Hedgehog LifeSavers (SONIC IS FROM 1990S!!!) I don't really want to eat the chocolate, and I want to tell how to see if Charleston Chews are old.

  1. After chocolate has been sitting around for a while it will develop a "bloom", which is sort of a greyish tint on it's surface.  This is simply the fat coming out of emulsion to the surface and is perfectly harmless, although it may affect the texture a bit and the flavour won't be quite as good as when it was fresher.  Apart from that, I don't think there's any way to tell how old they may be as chocolates generally do not carry a "best before" date on their packaging.

  2. the moisture in chocolate dries out eventually. If the chocolate was old it would have a gray tint over the outside that looks powdery. The texture may feel drier than normal chocolate would

  3. i find that when chocolate is old bits of it goes a pale colour
