i have a 1987 Celebrity Cuddy 22.5ft what size anchor would i need?

  1. The Danforth S-8 or the equivilent should be fine.  Most people use 4' of chain and a 150' anchor line.


  2. Lot of if's in this question.  What is the bottom like?  What are the wind/swell conditions?  Lee shore or off shore wind? How much windage (exposed boat above the water line) is there? How deep is the water?  Rope or chain or combo for your rode?

    Get the biggest anchor you can handle comfortably, add as much chain as you can stow to the end of the rope rode and sleep lightly until you have confidence in your ground tackle.
