How can you tell if the tcu is bad on a 91 honda accord???

  1. uh, im not sure what tcu stands for? ... throttle control unit? or something to do with throttle control? if thats what you mean, then you can tell by how it runs, if the engine revs really high, or hangs, then something is wrong in the throttle control


  2. If the transmission 'knocks' when switching gears, or it fails to switch gears at the right time, something may be wrong with it. I suggest take the car to a professional mechanic to have the problem evaluated and repaired.
