How can you tell if there are cameras in the hotel that you are in..Its alot of suspicious things going on..

with the receptionist downstairs...Isnt it illegal to have cameras in the hotel rooms Im in Cincinatti Ohio right now and extremly uncomfortable staying at this hotel now...My fiancee was smoking in the receptionist from downstairs said she could smell the smoke of the cigar I find that very odd the air was on..but Ive never heard of something like this before kinda shooken up..AM i overacting!!

  1. Well, you can try looking in the air vents and such.  Yes, I do believe it would be illegal, and you'd have very good grounds for a lawsuit if you did find an actual camera.

    That being said, you said your fiancee was smoking a CIGAR.  So it doesnt surprise me at all that they could smell it.  Cigars are known for being smelly.  I like a good cigar myself, but I always go outside with it, no matter if we have the fans or AC running or not, because I know from experience that a cigar will leave an odor behind for at least 2-3 days.  So its not odd at all that they could smell it.  You are lucky if the hotel is not going to charge you some sort of fine if that was in a non-smoking room!  And to be honest with you, I am not an expert on Ohio's anti-smoking laws, but I am not entirely sure its legal to smoke in hotels at all any more!  If that is the case (and I could be wrong, but if it is), then your fiance is lucky they didnt call the police on her!
