How can you tell if you have dead hair?

i think it might be dead or getting there. Its dry but will straighten good. I dont straighten my hair too much but very often.

well. All hair is dead, so i assume you mean dry hair? Or split ended, in a bad condition hair?

When you feel the end of a ponytail it should feel like a blusher brush if it's healthy. To make it more moisturised (and therefore shinier) when you condition it, leave the conditioner on for 10 mins, once a week or so. It will make it softer, shinier and more manageable. And not straightening your hair as much will do it good. Well done :D

You can tell, because you have a lot of split ends, and when you touch it its never soft, it feels like dry and burnt.

I dont really know if that helped... My friends hair is superr damaged from straightning it so much, and thats what hers feels like, and or looks like.
