How can you tell if your breathe stinks?

blow your breath in your hands and sniff.

Touch your finger to the back of your tongue and then smell the saliva that's on your finger.  If your breath smells, so will your finger.  You may want to wash your hands first.

and wait a few seconds and the sniff it. if it smells kinda weird of yuck then your breath probably isnt too nice

or

breathe out your mouth (trying to face the breath upwards towards your nose) then breathe it in through your nice and see what it smells like. coz thats your breath.

lack of spit can make your breathe smell or maybe you have a bad taste in your mouth or you just ate. i usually carry gum around so my breathe doesnt stink

By the way it tastes. If it doesn't taste clean, it stinks.

It's hard to tell sometimes, that's because you aren't used to caring much about your breath. If you care, and try to keep your mouth clean, you will know when you need to brush.
