  1. The "hard" or RGP lenses  are about half the size in diameter of soft lenses , and don't get soft or fold when they are wet.

    They hold their shape all the time, like a very small, hard plastic bowl.

    Actually, " hard lenses" don't really exist anymore, they are Rigid Gas Permeable lenses  ...or RGP's...for about 20 years now.

    But...they are still " hard" compared to a softlens.


  2. you would definately be able to tell

    the hard ones hurt more and are less common to be used

    the soft ones are brands like acuve and arent too hard on your eyes

  3. You would know and your doctor should have told you.  Hard (RGP) lenses are pretty outdated.  I work for an ophthalmologist and our RGP wearers have worn them for 20 plus yrs.  I am pretty sure that you have "soft lenses"
