  1. YES

    !!!

    happens to me too

  2. Check your outside lines. There may be some interference such as a tree branch or a squirrel running across then. It can be annoying. I've had a conversation and there is none of that and then all of a sudden the phone clicks a few times when talking as if someone cut in on the call. It's odd but it happens.

I have this tree by the telephone line though outside and a squirrel in my area often that I have seen, so who knows then.

I would make sure there is not something outside that may be a factor in that being likely to cause an interrupted call first. If it continues, then try using a cell phone instead if you have one. I don't have that problem whenever I use my cell phone.

  3. You would never know.  Clicking occurs normally over lines.

If you haven't done anything wrong - then there would be no reason to even tap your phones, right?  Don't sweat it.

  4. Try picking up the phone straight after you have hung up. If you don't get a dialling tone there is someone else on your line.

  5. never say anything on a telephone that you are not willing to defend in the neewspaper!

IF YOUR LINE IS TAPPED, AND DONE PROPERLY, YOU WILL NEVER KNOW.

  6. That "click" your hearing could be coming from many different sources, such as maybe the person your talking to has someone listening to them from another phone.

There are many devices out there that will let you know if someone is listening. 1 when hooked to your phone will "cut off" your phone conversation if another picks up anther phone in your house. It has to be in your house though. The call will resume when the extension is hung back up. It also can be by-passed for when you do want someone else on the phone. Cheap. There are many others.

If your phone was professionally "tapped" chances are you would never know. I (a simple minded person) could tap your phone & you'd never know. I could record your phone so it would not start to record until you picked up the hand set, and it would stop when you hung up.

Eaves dropping on a phone without a person's knowledge or without a warrant is a crime. Even possessing a "scanner" modified to, or purchased with the ability to pick up cell phone or cordless phone signals is a felony.

Getting caught doing any type of eaves dropping without warrant or consent is a felony.

I doubt your being "listened to" unless, you are being alleged to be involved in a crime or you associate with people involved in things they shouldn't be doing.

By the way, "grabbing" someone else's wireless signal out of the air & using it is also a crime. A serious crime. I know a lot of it is being done but, doing so could still send a person to prison.

  7. Your phone line could be getting tapped into through a companies wireless network or something. If you need to, go to the company and see if it is possible they are tapping into to your phone lines. If you can pick up their broadband, they could easily pick up yours. And since it comes through a phone line, it is possible.

  8. Look up Paladin Press on the net. They sell books on any subject of that kind.
