How can you tell sweet corn stalks from field corn stalks?

holly. im 28, and lived in wisconsin my hole life. not once have i heard an old farmer call it feeder corn,. And field corn and sweet corn does not look the same. there are huge differances.

  1. Field corn stalks will be larger than sweet corn stalks.  Most sweet corn will stay 5 ft or shorter, I have seen field corn grow to 8 ft tall.


  2. I'm guessing you mean feeder corn--a crop intended to feed livestock.

    Not really---it looks about the same.
