How can you tell the difference between a Louisiana driver's license and a driver's permit?

I was wondering how to tell the difference because my permit looks just like a driver's license. No difference. I was wondering if they gave me the license on accident. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am not from your state, however I would be very disappointed if they gave you a regular driver lic. On your lic it should say Learner or Permit and give you instruction. You should have detail information about your permit. If you find that you have the regular lic, don't jump for joy, because it might catch up with you. Check it out.

it should say you age and it should also say permit on it somewhere... i dont live in louisiana so i dont know what the licenses look like but where i live there is  a silver stamp on the license and it is a little different on the permit than it is on the license

If you got an official License instead of a permit, you should be happy. My friend just got her permit *we live in LA too* and i thought hers wasn't as colorful as a license
