  1. put the eyeshadow on the back of your hand to see which colour suits your skin colour! for the lipgloss just apply the testers on your lips and see which one looks better! as for the foundatio hold the bottle up beside your face and look in the mirror to see which colour suits !

  2. eye shadow isn't generally a problem because you can just put them on your eye with your finger, but a tip for lipstick is put it on the tip/ball of your finger, because it is softer there it will look more like that on your lips xx

  3. I have wasted lots of money, and I don't recommend it.  I have learned by trial and error what colors will work best for me, and if I want to try something totally different, I make sure I can return it.  Here is a short primer on choosing colors.

Figure out what color your skin is and what the undertones are.  For example, I have medium colored skin with yellow undertones, or an olive complexion.  I look best in makeup (and clothing) colors that have warm undertones in them such as peaches, corals, berries and plums.

If you have pink undertones, you will look best in cooler colors with a blue undertone like strawberry pinks, reds, lavender, blue and blue-greens.

If you are somewhere in the middle, you are lucky and will look good in just about everything.  If I put on strawberry pink or red blush, I look like a clown.  Ditto for blue eyeliner or shadow.  However, a person with a fair, coolor complexion looks beautiful in them.

A good trick for choosing lipstick colors is to look at the color of the inside of your lower lip.  Just pull it back and look.  Since that color occurs naturally in you, you will look very good in lipsticks that match it.  It sounds weird, but this trick really works.

As for eyeliner, if you are in doubt purchase black and dark brown.  Be patient, because it does take time to develop a good eye for looking at colors and knowing which ones will work and which ones won't.

  4. heres the thing

    EYES

brown eyes - go for smoky colours

green eyes - go for bright/colourful make up

    blue eyes - creamy/silver/skin colour

    hazel - same as brown

    LIPS

big lips - go for light colours nothing to obvious

no lips - go for heavy lip gloss to make them appear fuller

Now when u shop u dont have to test !

im a trained beaution and believe me this was one of the best things ive learnt oh and

dont have full eyes and full lips -bad combo.
