  1. when it does not hurt at all to touch it

  2. If there's no more pus/plasma/blood!

  3. Take the earring out slowly, and then look at the hole. It shouldn't look so fresh or open anymore. It shouldn't be pink, or fleshy, or wet even. Just a hole.

  4. that you can take it out for a long time...and it wont hurt it you put it back in or closees up....6months its probally pretty healed...youo could take it out for a day or two...but just keep something in there...it the professionals say it heals in a year

  5. when it doesn't hurt anymore

  6. I got mine done a year ago. Mine hurt for like 4 months. But now I can wiggle it around and it doesn't bother me. So i guess when it stops hurting and the redness goes away.

  7. It's hard. And there is hole. No more pinkness.

  8. It takes a really really long time. Mine never completely healed and after a couple of years it got infected. Cartilage piercings are the most prone to infection so clean it frequently!

  9. well you can tell when it doesn't hurt anymore or if it isn't pink. Also if you leave it out for a while and it's easy to put back on then it is completely healed. But usually when I touch mines it just bruises up but other than that it's fine. and now it's completely healed. ( My advice put some alcohol and vaseline on it). ^-^

  10. i could tell when i pulled on it and it no longer hurt.  but still be careful not to leave it out long.  i never take mine out cause i dont want it to close up

  11. well it usually takes six months to a year, so yours might be healed. but check it out and see if it still gets crusties - some are okay, but there shouldn't be too much lymph production if it's healed. also, is it tender when you put pressure on it? can you sleep on it without discomfort? does it pretty much feel like any other piece of skin at this point? if it's healed, those should all be yes.

  12. Cartilage takes longer to heal but you will know when its not sore anymore pretty much.

But if it still hurts after six months then you might have an infection other than that it should be healed by now.
