  1. they make eye contact, and they dont have their hands near their face and they arent laughing

  2. What I have experienced when it comes to someone lying to me is that they can't look you in the eye and they always look away. My daughters husband is the biggest liar I know and when he tells me a lie, he turns his head to the left almost looking behind him while he is telling me the lie. Then he gets really upset with me when I tell him that I know he is lying to me. He insults my intelligence when he lies to me. My daughter apologizes when he lies. But I have to wonder why she stays married to a liar?

  3. Hey,

I just found this out the other day when i read it in the paper.

That if someone is lieing to you, the either blink when there saying it, or don't look into your eyes.

But if they look you straight in the eye, without blinking or looking away, there telling the truth.

Also, if they are lieing, they fidgit, and hesitate when saying things.

    Hope i helped !! x

  4. i always heard that they make alot of eye contact or look you str8 in the eyes

  5. While I found Tatiana's answer interesting, people always find the lies, more interesting and appealing..

You can always find whether one is telling the truth or not, provided you are interested in knowing.

  6. Body Language of Lies:

    • Physical expression will be limited and stiff, with few arm and hand movements. Hand, arm and leg movement are toward their own body the liar takes up less space.

    • A person who is lying to you will avoid making eye contact.

    • Hands touching their face, throat & mouth. Touching or scratching the nose or behind their ear. Not likely to touch his chest/heart with an open hand

  7. There are several telltale signs when someone is lying - they look away (left or right, up or down, doesn't matter), their pupils dilate, sometimes they open their eyes wider trying to look innocent.  There are more signs, of course, but I don't know them all.

  8. Everybody lies to you at one time or another...if something doesn't make sense, it's not true, just like Judge Judy says.

  9. Don't believe that nonsense. I've spoken to plenty of liars who looked me in the eye when they lied. When a liar knows they are lying and they want you to think it's the truth, you can be certain they know how to hide the truth from you. I would go more with feeling than how the person is reacting because otherwise you get fooled easily. Also, don't believe some people who tell you they have a feeling another is lying because they too could be lying to try to get you to hate them or worse. Stick to the gut feeling, it doesn't disappoint unless you aren't paying attention.

  10. not everyone does that, even when they are telling the truth

  11. eye contact or no eye contact is also a cultural thing, so you would have to know what is normal for the culture of the person speaking.

Watch the hands. They try to push the truth away....

Look up a show called 'the human animal'

they do a great job of showing what that means.

  12. That only works if they have to think about there answer. the reverse is better looking up and left is an indication of a lie. and when you lie you have to think about what you say so it is a more consistent measure.

  13. It would be to your left.
