i have a 1998 jeep grand cherokee laredo 4.0. i noticed today that when i turned off my engine i heard a gurgling sound. so i checked under the hood and saw that my water was a little low and it was bubbling. i then noticed that there was something leaking at the front of my car. it only gets bad when my car is off. i cant tell where the leak is coming from. it looks like its coming out of the bottom of something but i cant tell if there is a hose that is leaking. my car stopped running hot when i added some water, but i dont know what needs to be replaced the whole radiator or if i need to have all of the hoses checked

  1. Take it to a shop and have it pressure checked and they will know what to replace.

  2. Pressure test the cooling system, you'll see where it's leaking.

  3. you may need to have your water pump changed and check your hoses and your freezeout plugs

  4. go to the parts store and buy a leak test kit, it has dye in it that you can see.

a test kit will cost less than $20
