How can you transfer movies from a Hard Disk Recorder/DVD Recorder to computer?

Hi. Can you transfer tv shows from a hard disk recorder or dvd recorder to a computer?

If you can, how do you do it?

Im from Australia. is there any cheap ones? do you know a good one that an be found in Australia?

Hi Rafi,

I don't know about availability in Australia but I use DVD Express.

With DVD Xpress you can transfer your video to your hard drive and then edit it if you desire. DVD Xpress comes with basic video editing software. I got mine at Sam's for $59.95.

I saw a newer model at WalMart recently. It was the DVD Xpress2. I think it was $39.95 but I am not positive. You can check one out here http://www.usb-ware.com/ads-dvd-xpress-d...

You connect the composite output of your DVR into the DVD Xpress and connect the DVD Xpress to your computer via a USB cable.
