How can you turn off a car if your key is stuck?

  1. disconnect the battery


  2. disconnect the negative battery cable. NOT the positive.

    That way you wont cause a spark (bad for the electronics on the car) or get a shock.

  3. Pull out the ECM/ign fuse from the fuse block.

  4. take the battery cables off the battery

  5. Let it run out of gas...

  6. Depending on the year, make and model you can just pull the fuel pump relay then disconnect the battery and this would be the safest thing to do.
