How can you unlock roy in super smash bros. brawl?

i read that you have to beat 25 alloys on cruel,

but i don't want to waste time if it's not true :]

I have to answer to you that No you cannot unlock Roy but you can however unlock marth and many other characters!

i dont think roy is in the game.  i couldnt find him on this guide of all the unlockable characters
